How We Can Help: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Our centre in London offers a range of hypnotherapy techniques that you might find help you achieve your goals in work, life and relationships. One of these is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), which we explore more in detail below.

What is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
A form of “psychological acupressure”, EFT is an emotional clearing technique that may help release any ‘stuck’ emotions which prevent us from moving forward in our lives.
It involves tapping on the energy meridians which are also used in acupuncture. This can be done using the fingers and no needles are involved. Straightforward and easy to apply, EFT can be done by one of our professional therapists for you, or by yourself after following the therapist’s instructions.
At our hypnotherapy centre in London, EFT may be used alone or alongside both Cognitive Hypnotherapy and/or NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
This technique is based on the belief that the cause of negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. A thought or memory could trigger this disruption, leading to physical or psychological pain.
EFT is believed to balance the disrupted energy and can relieve us of all sorts of long-standing issues. Once the energy disruption is released, the memories might lose their emotional intensity, therefore helping to reduce negative feelings.
Some psychologists consider EFT to be an important breakthrough: it often works where nothing else will.
Transform Your Well-Being
Our thoughts constantly create patterns of energy, which in turn release hormones, chemicals and neurotransmitters. EFT has the potential to interrupt this chain of events, preventing us from reacting emotionally how we would normally.
EFT might be successfully applied to an enormous range of issues from small, niggling difficulties through to PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Many people find this process works just as well for their deep-rooted issues as it does for minor irritations. Better yet, once all aspects of the problem have been addressed, the results could be permanent.
Problems that have caused intense distress in the past, often for many years, might well disappear. Potential future events which have been causing anxiety might become easier to face. EFT could therefore be applied to many emotional issues, whether from the past, in the present or in the future.
